It is with great pleasure that I read a draft version of the book Mines, Minerals & Mustangs.  I have visited and explored many of the sites John and Jeannette Kerr describe.  The combination of photographs and personal vignettes brought to life people, places and events once experienced but long forgotten.

Jeannette's photography is exceptional, capturing the true essence of Nevada's wild horses, abandoned mining camps and wide-open vistas.  Their combined story is informative and lively, enabling the reader to share their knowledge and obvious enthusiasm for an area I know well and hold dear.

Mines, Minerals & Mustangs is a perfect compliment to the coffee table of any person interested in nature and the outdoors, but will have particular appeal to photographers, prospectors and mustang enthusiasts.

Many of us aspire to write about a special time or place in our lives, but never seem to find the time to start, much less  complete, such an undertaking.  John and Jeannette Kerr have succeeded in capturing the spirit of Nevada, as they describe the joy and excitement associated with doing things they love, thus creating a lasting impression of a fast-disappearing way of life.
