Jeannette Kerr is the daughter of a well-known Canadian prospector, developer and inventor. Her strong passion for nature, photography and wild horses prompted a two-year sabbatical from her studio in Vancouver to pursue this project.
A devoted mother, published writer and true Renaissance woman, Jeannette was chosen by Chatelaine magazine in 1975 to represent the province of New Brunswick for her diverse skills and varied interests. As a photographer, a former chef and restaurant owner, a successful interior designer and realtor, and an accomplished Cherokee pilot, she inspires others to pursue their dreams.
John Kerr is a geological engineer by profession and a prospector at heart. Although Canadian, he was introduced to Nevada in 1971, in the early stages of development of the large open pit gold mines of Nevada. He was on a team that was the first to develop these massive deposits in western Nevada. He identified the Santa Fe area as a viable target in 1972 and supervised the drilling that discovered the deposit there in 1974.
John comes by his instincts for the outdoors naturally. His great great grandfather, John Williams Kerr, was appointed Fish and Wildlife Officer of the British Territory of Upper Canada in 1857- the earliest appointment in the territory.
